Introduction
The establishment of the People's Commune in the late 1970s in China deprived many peasants of their right to own land. At that time, Zhao Ziyang (Zhao) helped the peasants to get back their right. Zhao was a former secretary-general of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

He was a leading reformer and was actively involved in restoring autonomy and also ensuring good relations between the Chinese enterprises and the government. He is considered as the initiator of economic reforms and political liberalization in China.

Zhao was appointed to the Central Committee of the CCP, and was sent to Sichuan,.
